0500hrs: Your Mt Kenya 1 day hike departs from
Nairobi for the full day climbing excursion
0700hrs:
Breakfast at the Bantu hotel in Karatina enroute to Mt Kenya 1 day trip
0900hrs: Arrival
at Naro Moru gate on Mount Kenya and
pay the day hike park fees
1000hrs: Walk through the rain forest to see Mt Kenya
animals including elephants, waterbucks, forest hogs, rhinos, leopards and
others.
1100hrs: Arrive
at the Met station at 3300m and hike up to the bamboo forest edge and into the
alpine grassland
1300hrs: Reach the
observation point for some of the close up views of Mount Kenya peaks Batian, Lenana and Nelion.
1320hrs: Enjoy
your packed lunch at the Mount Kenya

1400hrs: Start
your descent through the grassland and rain forest back to the met station.
